Cranial Neurosurgery:
Surgical Techniques and Perioperative Management Strategies
Lic. Vet. Dipl. ECVN, PhD.
March 23–25, 2026 | Shanghai, China
Course Overview
This intensive neurology course offers advanced veterinary training in spinal and cranial neurosurgery. Participants will refine their understanding of neuroanatomical lesion localization, patient selection, and perioperative management for intracranial disorders.
Through lectures and hands-on practical sessions, veterinarians will learn to perform key procedures such as rostrotentorial, transfrontal, and suboccipital craniectomies, caudal occipital decompression, and ventriculoperitoneal shunt placement. The program also covers CT and MRI imaging, management of intracranial pressure, and hydrocephalus treatment.
By the end of the course, attendees will gain a systematic, step-by-step approach to veterinary neurosurgery, strengthening both diagnostic accuracy and surgical confidence in managing complex neurological cases.
