Course Overview
Correct. Stabilize. Reconstruct.
This 4-day advanced orthopedic training is designed for veterinarians seeking deeper knowledge and refined surgical techniques in forelimb joint surgery and corrective osteotomy.
From diagnosis to hands-on execution, participants will gain confidence through a progressive curriculum that integrates anatomy, biomechanics, surgical planning, and real-time practical application.
Led by internationally renowned orthopedic experts Prof. Mark Glyde and Prof. Lisa Adele Piras, this workshop blends cutting-edge theory with dry and wet labs—focusing on the shoulder, elbow, carpus, and advanced corrective osteotomies.
What You'll Learn
· Diagnosis and management of forelimb lameness
· Shoulder instability, arthrodesis, and biceps tendon disorders
· Elbow dysplasia, luxation, UAP treatment, and osteotomy
· CORA methodology and advanced radial osteotomy planning
· Carpal instability and pancarpal arthrodesis
· Step-by-step wet lab practice: ligament anchoring, osteotomy, joint stabilization
