Course Overview
The EAVSI Minimally Invasive & Interventional Surgery Course is an advanced training program designed for veterinarians who want to develop skills in small animal minimally invasive surgery and veterinary interventional procedures.
The course combines theoretical lectures, surgical video demonstrations, and hands-on training, providing a comprehensive learning experience in modern veterinary interventional techniques. Participants will gain practical knowledge that can be directly applied in clinical practice to improve treatment outcomes and reduce surgical trauma.
What You Will Learn
Key topics covered in this course include:
Laser lithotripsy (Holmium & Thulium) for urinary stone treatment
Tracheal and bronchial stenting for airway collapse
Esophageal balloon dilation and BE-tube placement for strictures
Interventional treatment of extrahepatic biliary obstruction
Ultrasound/endoscopic-guided tumor laser ablation (UGELAB)
Nasopharyngeal dilation and VATS lung tumor surgery
Hands-on Training
The first two days focus on theory and procedural video demonstrations, covering case selection and surgical techniques.
The final two days are dedicated to hands-on practical sessions, where participants will practice key procedures such as laser lithotripsy, airway stent placement, esophageal dilation, and tumor ablation under expert guidance.

Day 1 - Theory + Video Presenting
● Patient Selection and Perioperative Management for Minimally Invasive and Surgical Interventional Cases
● Laser lithotripsy (Holmium/Thulium-doped)
● Ultrasound-guided endoscopic laser ablation (UGELAB)
● Tracheal stenting
● Bronchial stenting
Day 2 - Theory + Video Presenting
● Interventional Dilation for Nasopharyngeal stenosis
● Videofluroscopic and endoscopic placement of endobronchial blockers for one-lung ventilation
● Esophageal stricture balloon dilation and BE-Tube placement
● Interventional Management of Extrahepatic Biliary Obstruction
● VATS of lung tumour

★ Day 4 - Practical Session

Cancellation & Refund Policy
· More than 10 days before the course: 90% of the tuition will be refunded. Within 10 days before the course: Only 50% of the tuition will be refunded. Alternatively, your spot can be transferred to another participant.
· In case of course-related changes (e.g. rescheduling or venue change), a full refund can be requested. No additional compensation will be provided.
· Refunds are typically processed within one month. Thank you for your patience.
· If an invoice is required, please submit your request within 3 months after the course ends. Invoices must be issued within the same calendar year as the tuition payment. No refunds will be processed once an invoice has been issued.
